This is my 20th year of teaching and have been a BPA advisor throughout my teaching career. I currently teach Accounting at Newaygo County Career Tech- Center but have also taught at Lakewood High School. I have taught a variety of business-related courses. I designed a class called Business Leadership which successfully helped students with BPA events along with community service.

I love teaching and watching students grow not just in learning but in leadership and employability skills that they gain by being a member of BPA. I am currently part of the Regional Advisor Team and will be Michigan's BPA Classroom Educators Advisory Council Representative in July 2025. I am also a past MBEA Secretary.

If you need a way to meet the required student leadership component for your business management, finance, graphics/visual performing arts, or information technology program, attend this session to learn how having a Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter is the right approach. This session will provide details about how the co-curricular BPA organization can help your students become effective leaders and successful employees.
