General Award Nomination Procedures and Deadlines

MBEA members, School Administrators and CTE Directors may nominate a member in good standing. Please use the on-line nomination form below to submit nominations.


The Michigan Business Education Association gives three awards to deserving individuals:


Recognition of Service Award - This award is presented to an individual/organization who has excelled in service to business education and MBEA in the state of Michigan.


Outstanding Contributions to Business Education by a Business Teacher (Middle, Secondary, Post-Secondary) - This award is presented to a current member in good standing who demonstrates excellence in the classroom. ** Each level of teaching is eligible to be awarded each year**


Emerging Professional Business Educator Award - This award is presented to a middle or high school MBEA classroom business teacher in Michigan. This individual must have taught at least two years, but no more than six years as a full-time teacher. This award is intended to recognize excellence in the classroom.

Directions to Nominate: The deadline to make a nomination is September 15, each year. Use the form fields below to submit your nomination. It is recommended to consult with the nominee before you submit the form to gather needed information. Candidates must submit two letters of recommendation from an administrator, colleague or former/current student.
